BlockTris is a classic puzzle game. It's a simple yet addictive game that requires strategy, quick thinking, and spatial awareness.

The Basics

The game takes place on a rectangular grid, where players control geometric shapes called Tetriminos (or simply, blocks) that fall from the top of the screen. These Tetriminos come in various shapes, such as I-shaped, T-shaped, L-shaped, square-shaped, and S-shaped.

The Objective

The objective of BlockTris is to manipulate the falling Tetriminos to create complete horizontal lines of blocks across the grid. Once a line is complete, it disappears, and any blocks above it fall down. Players earn points for each completed line, and the goal is to score as many points as possible before the grid fills up with blocks and the game ends.

Strategic Gameplay

BlockTris goes beyond just dropping Tetriminos. To truly excel, players need to strategize their moves. Here's how:

Rotating Tetriminos: Players can rotate the Tetriminos as they fall to fit them into the available space on the grid. This is crucial to optimize line completions and avoid awkward gaps.
Shifting Tetriminos: Players can also shift the Tetriminos left or right within the grid to position them accurately. This allows them to set up placements for future Tetriminos and maximize their scoring opportunities.
Clearing Multiple Lines: Clearing multiple lines simultaneously awards bonus points. Players can achieve this by strategically placing Tetriminos to complete two or even three lines at once. This requires planning ahead and anticipating the shapes of upcoming Tetriminos.
